A lovely afternoon was spent at Shiplake Village Bowling Club today for a 5 mixed triples friendly with a convincing win to the home team 95 - 70, 4 rinks to 1.On Rink 1 saw Tony B, Maurice & John Tegg see a final score of 22 - 10.On Rink 2 - Chez, Barry & Peter tackled a challenging rink which forced everyone to play on the same bias. Often the game started with Shiplake holding 2 or 3, with no2 Barry taking a few shots back. Kudos must go to Skip Peter however, who on several games took a 2 or 3 down deficit to 2 or 3 up in one shot! To quote the Shiplake Skip - Peter is a menace!Final score, 11 - 21 win to Wargrave. On Rink 3 David M, Heather & Brian T finished on 18 - 12 and on Rink 4 Tony A, Ray G, and Norah finished on 16 - 14.Finally on Rink 5 Ian, Stan & Jean finished on a score of 28 - 13. ...
